Bring One For the Chipper
This year's Bring One for the Chipper Christmas Tree and electronics recycling project will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011, from 10 am to 2 pm on the LaGrange Home Depot parking lot, the Recycling Center in West Point and at the Maintenance Department (119 Lincoln Street) in Hogansville.

Additional Household Convenience Center in Mountville
The C & D site on Parmer Road - off Highway 109 just west of Mountville school - has been expanded to take in household garbage and limited recycling items. Operating hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Composting
Americans throw away about 10% of the food they buy at the supermarket. This results in dumping the equivalent of more than 21 million shopping bags full of food into landfills every year.
